With over 3,000 employees Majestic Seafood Corporation Ltd is a large, fully integrated tuna canning company. A joint venture between Thai Union and Frabelle PNG, their facility comes complete with a fully equipped fishing fleet, cold storage with a capacity of 1,200 metric tonnes, and a can-making facility capable of processing up to 350 metric tonnes of canned tuna a day, exporting to Europe and the Asia Pacific region.

Swift has been Majestic's logistics partner since 2017. Our role in Majestic's supply chain is primarily cartage and providing project support as requested.

In 2022, another canning company imported powdered fish meal which is a commercial product made from fish by-products to feed farm animals. The problem was that the fish meal was prone to combusting (due to a manufacturer's error) and did so while in transit. As a result of this, shipping lines canceled the loading of containers containing this product, and any containers already loaded needed to be removed until the issue was resolved.

This series of events caused massive delays. So much so that by the time the situation was resolved, Majestic Seafood needed to deliver over 40 20ft containers from their warehouse to port within 3 days. With no time to lose, Swift mustered the fleet and with drivers and our logistics team working day and night to hit the deadline, the containers were eventually delivered on schedule.

On another occasion, in 2018 during a widespread power outage, meant that Majestic's reefers (refrigerated containers), along with their contents were at risk of being jeopardized. Thankfully, with Swift's backup generators, we were able to power the reefers until the power was restored saving the cargo and later delivered it to port for export.
​
Swift now exports 80+ containers a month for Majestic. Throughout our time working with Majestic, Swift has always made it a point to go the extra mile and we believe that it makes all the difference.
